Hi all! My name is Marisa (she/her) and this is my fifth summer on staff. For the past four summers I have worked in the Access program learning all about what it means to be a loving neighbor and do justice in my community. This summer, I'm so excited to be serving in Asheville as a Community Director, where I hope to witness constant Joy in Holy community and experience the liberating power of solidarity with the marginalized. I'm also so excited to empower my campers to be part of the reconstruction of Western NC communities after Hurricane Helene. 

As of May, I'll be a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in sociology and religious studies. After my summer in Asheville, I'll be moving to Denver, Colorado to continue doing community justice work through Americorps/Habitat for Humanity. 

I'm so grateful to be doing this work in Asheville this summer, and it truly takes a village to make it happen. Thank you for your support towards our Partnership fund--we cannot do it without you! I can't thank you enough for being a part of the change that our world needs right now.
