Riley Kaufman (she/her) is thrilled to be serving on staff this summer with Cross Connection’s Awareness Camp in Asheville, NC! She is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech and is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary, following a call to ministry.

During her time at Virginia Tech, Riley was deeply involved with the Wesley Foundation, helping cultivate spaces rooted in their mission to “Love Out Loud”–centering faith, service, community, and meaningful connection. 

Serving last summer in Asheville with Cross Connection was deeply formative, preparing her for ministry and seminary in ways she didn’t expect. Through relationships with campers, community members. and the practice of presence, she grew in understanding what it means to show up faithfully where Jesus already is in everyday moments.

Now in her first year at Wesley Theological Seminary, Riley is immersed in her studies and serves as a Ministry Innovation Intern with The Hub for (Re)Imagining Ministry, working with churches to reimagine how young people engage in and beyond the church in today’s context.

This summer, she is excited to return to Asheville to build meaningful relationships, participate in real conversations, and continue growing in faith alongside the community.
